Taco Bell to roll out drag brunch across US inspired by its LGBTQ+ employees
Who doesn’t love a drag brunch? Bottomless booze, mediocre food and first class fierce entertaintment. Well no more bad food as US restaurant giant Taco Bell, inspired by their LGBTQ+ employees, are jumping on the brunch bandwagon.
Unlike Chick-fil-A who are very much the opposite of inclusive, Sean Tresvant, global chief brand officer at Taco Bell said this about the new scheme: “We understand the importance of creating safe spaces for the LGBTQIA+ community and are thrilled to provide a unique experience that spotlights and celebrates the wonderful art form of drag and its influence in culture with their chosen families.”
The company debuted the drag brunch as its flagship cantina in Las Vegas this week and then it will roll out to Chicago, Nashville, New York City and Fort Lauderdale by June. Live Más Pride, Taco Bell’s LGBTQIA+ employee resource group, came up with the idea and with the liked of Drag Race alumni Coco Montrese serving spicy taco realness, what’s not to like?!
