Floridian running for school board seat thinks doctors helping trans kids should be lynched

Alisabeth Janai Lancaster, a Florida woman who is running for a school board seat said that doctors who provide gender conformation therapy“should be hanging from the nearest tree” and the crowd applauded.

She made the shocking remarks at a Republican club event which is no great surprise but in a speech that spoke about ‘Christian values’, the blood lust is as horrific as it is terrifying.

As the days go by, accepted violent rhetoric gets worse and worse with trans kids once again at the centre of more horrific political posturing.

Lancaster is running in an August primary for the Santa Rosa County School Board and nonchalantly made the chilling remarks at the Gulf Coast Patriots event near Navarre, Florida on Monday evening. She said: “These doctors that are going along with mutilating these children and prescribing hormone blockers to these kids, in my opinion, they should be hanging from the nearest tree.”

See the comments which were videoed below:

Incumbent member of the school board Carol Boston, who Lancaster is trying to unseat, was as shocked as anyone else saying: “A statement advocating a violent act such as lynching is abhorrent and alarming. It is un-American to call for the murder of Americans that disagree with us.”

President of the Socialist Trans Initiative, Devin Cole, also had this to say about the comments: “Of course, as the president of STRIVE, it’s a disgusting and deployable comment and a reminder that we absolutely have to unite and fight these horrible reactionary people who want to kill us. She pretty much said it. They want to kill us, and we have to do everything in our power to overthrow them, because now it’s boiling down to a matter of life and death for us as transgender people.”

Florida is of course, home to the ‘Don’t Say Gay’ Bill and whilst we are sure the likes of Gov. Ron DeSantis wouldn’t advocate lynching, it is the trickle down effect of what bills like that mean to some average Americans who are more than happy to take such things to their logical and deadly conclusion.
