WATCH: Foo Fighters troll vile Westboro Baptist Church with live Bee Gees tribute
We all know that the Westboro Baptist Church are about as close to God as Jeffrey Epstein but what we didn’t know was that the Foo Fighters have an on-going war with them.
Yes that’s the same Westboro Baptist Church who have turned up at the funerals of veterans and gay people with ‘God Hates Fags’ banners, so it’s really no surprise that Dave Grohl and co might have a bone or two to pick with the dreadful organisation.
This time the banners outside the band’s latest show in Kansas included ‘God hates Pride’ and ‘God sent the Coronavirus in fury’ but the Foos were having none of it, dressing as their current alter egos The DeeGees and going out to play them some effing D-I-S-C-O. Dave said:
“Alright now, ladies and gentlemen, I got something to say. Because you know what, I love you. I do! The way I look at it, is that I love everybody. Isn’t that what you’re supposed to do? Can’t you just love everybody? Cos I think it’s about love! That’s what I think, we’re all about love. And you shouldn’t be hating, you know what you should be doing? You should be dancing!”
The band have had beef with the Westboro Baptist Church since 2011 where they had been staging one of their infamous homophobic protests. The Foo Fighters crashed the protest and performed the song Keep it Clean which includes suggestive lyrics regarding “hot man muffins”.
Ever since then it’s been a battle of wills but considering Grohl is officially the nicest man in rock and they are a bunch of bigoted homophobic religious zealots it really isn’t much of a competition. We love you Dave Grohl.
Watch the whole thing below, we hope you brought your dancing shoes.
